Lee Kerry asserted his dominance over the field in the latest round of the Bait-Tech Canal Championship, after winning the match with 12-0-0 from peg 227 on the Scrub Field section of the Stainforth & Keadby Canal at Thorne.
The Preston Innovations and Sonubaits backed ace caught some early fish on joker, before tapping in to some real quality roach later in the day on hempseed.
Runner up on the day was Sensas North ace Chris Greensides with a 10-0-0 net from peg 209. Chris – who opted not to take any bloodworm and joker to his peg – caught all his fish on bread, hemp and casters.
There was a tie for third place between Ben Roberts and Adrian Higginbottom, both of whom weighed 9-15-0 from pegs 200 and 203 respectively.
There is now just one qualifier remaining on the 31st January, before the star studded final on February 14th – when several anglers will have a Valentine’s Date to remember, as over £3,000 in cash, and £2,000 in Bait-Tech prizes and vouchers is handed over to the winners!
Because the qualification system is done by default, there has never been a better time to qualify either – so call Tom Scholey (07971 620489), Matt Godfrey (07917 711722) or Lee Kerry (0773 9342929) to book on!Click here to view a video interview with the winner!
