One of Derbyshire’s most prolific silver-fish venues, Barlow Fishery near Chesterfield, is set to run weekend open matches for the first time.
The venue – which for many years allowed no matches at all, has more recently run the occasional midweek contest, some of which have been won with pole-caught roach weights in excess of 30lb!
Taking place every Sunday from January 11th, the new series of matches are being run by the fishery bailiff, Bob Taylor.
The matches will cost £10 to enter, with an optional superpool also being run. The draw will take place at the fishery cafe at 9am, with fishing from 10am to 3pm. For more information, or to book in give Bob a call on: 07773 174234.
