Maver are looking for a Website Developer / Administrator

Due to a shift in our marketing strategy an exciting opportunity is available for a Website Developer / Administrator to join our number one match fishing brand.

Based in Redditch, Worcestershire the successful candidate will be expected to maintain and update the company websites and administer the databases that exist behind them, as well as drive front-end web development.

Reporting to the Multimedia Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Keeping all Maver (UK) websites fully up-to-date with the latest news and reviews taking guidance from the Multimedia Manager
  • Promote new product on the websites, which will also include amending existing product information as and when required such as prices, pictures and product descriptions
  • Discontinuing products that are no longer available
  • Liaise with angling publications to further promote both sponsored anglers and product wherever possible on the websites via the use of magazine features
  • Maintain working relationships with supporting third party IT contacts

The successful candidate will need to have experience within a similar role with working knowledge of front-end web development. In addition, the candidate will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

  • Proven working experience in web programming
  • Knowledge of SQL database-driven websites with a solid understanding of PHP programming. An in-depth knowledge of HTML/CSS is also essential
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and timekeeping to manage multiple tasks
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work
  • Ability to communicate successfully and work effectively with other team members
  • Knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator is desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge of angling and all related skills/terminology is also desirable, but not essential
