Fish 'O' Mania Begins!
Well the big wait is finally over and I'm dead chuffed with the Fisho tickets I've received this year! I only applied for 11 this time around (normally 15 or 16!) and got six, which isn't too bad.

I've finally got a ticket for Tunnel Barn Farm after trying for years and only getting on as a reserve twice. Holly Farm/Peatling Pools is going to be a new one for us all while Packington and Viaduct are both venues I quite like. I had 99lb 15oz for 5th at Boldings in last years Fisho campaign, so hopefully I can do even better this time – and break the 100lb barrier! Then, of course, there's the 300-pegger at Lindholme Lakes which will be a bit special. I'm pretty sure this will be decided by gaps caused by people not going to their pegs or packing up early – like most Fishos actually, ha ha!

I love Fishos as there's always a big buzz in the mornings. My only disappointment is that I'm well down on all the other reserve lists so there's probably no point in trying to get on as a reserve this time.

I've also got a few Maver Match This tickets plus the new Barston Lakes series and, of course, the UK Champs and White Acres Milo Festival to look forward to – so it's going to be a busy, action-packed year I can tell.

Bring it on!
